For National Rubber Duck Day, we sat down with Ohio’s largest inflatable rubber duck, Mr. Quackles! Between flaps and quacks, he shared the inside scoop on life as a giant duck at Awesome Entertainment.

Q: Mr. Quackles, how does it feel to be Ohio’s largest rubber duck? Mr. Quackles: “Oh, it’s a quack-tacular honor! Every time I roll into a party or event, I can see the smiles from a mile away—well, technically, from 20 feet away. Being the biggest duck in Ohio comes with some responsibilities: I have to make sure everyone’s having fun and, of course, stay squeaky clean!”

Q: How tall are you? Mr. Quackles: “I stand proud at a whopping 20 feet tall! I guess you could say I’m hard to miss in a crowd!”

Q: How do you like to travel to events? Mr. Quackles: “I love a good road trip! I ride snugly in the truck, waving my little inflatable wings at passing cars. Sometimes I dream of flying, but then I remember: gravity loves me just the way I am!”

Q: How do you like taking selfies with party-goers? Which is your best side? Mr. Quackles: “Oh, I love it! Selfies are my favorite. I always make sure my best side—the left wing, of course—is showing. Everyone loves a duck with a smile, and I’m happy to pose with kids, adults, and even other inflatable friends!”

Q: What’s it like living at Awesome Entertainment? Mr. Quackles: “It’s a dream! I get plenty of space to stretch my wings, and I’m surrounded by friends—bounce houses, slides, and even those cheeky carnival games. It’s like a party 24/7, and I wouldn’t trade it for a pond full of water lilies.”

Q: How do you feel about not being the world’s largest duck? Mr. Quackles: “World’s largest? Pfft! I like to think of myself as Ohio’s pride and joy. Sure, there might be bigger ducks somewhere in the world, but can they bring the fun, laughter, and quack-tastic energy that I do? I think not!”
