30 Years of Making Events Awesome
Awesome Entertainment began in 1996 with a simple idea: bring exciting entertainment and awesome experiences to events of all kinds.
The company was founded by Curtis Lovell II, who was still in high school when the idea first took shape. After attending a corporate family day filled with rides, games, and entertainment, Curtis realized something powerful — events that create joy and excitement for people could become something special.
Inspired by the fun of carnivals and community celebrations, Curtis began building what would eventually become Awesome Family Entertainment. With little more than determination and a vision, he rode his bicycle to a local print shop to create his very first business cards. While there, he met a local festival organizer who would become his first client — a relationship that continues decades later.
What began as a small idea quickly grew as more event organizers began asking for help bringing energy and excitement to their events.
The Early Years
In the beginning, Awesome Entertainment focused on connecting event organizers with performers and simple attractions. Early events included costumed characters and a single bounce house for backyard birthday parties and community gatherings.
As the company continued to grow, so did the scale of the events. Soon the company was helping produce larger celebrations with carnival games, concessions, entertainers, and interactive attractions with million dollar budgets.
Through these early years, Curtis built a trusted network of entertainers, performers, and vendors — talented people who shared the same goal of creating memorable experiences for guests.
That network became the foundation of what would eventually grow into a full-service entertainment and event rental company.



Expanding the Experience
Over time, Awesome Entertainment evolved beyond coordinating entertainers. The company multimillion dollar inventory has expanded to include a wide variety of attractions and event elements that help transform ordinary gatherings into immersive awesome experiences.
Today, events may include a mix of entertainment and attractions such as:
• carnival rides and amusement attractions
• inflatable games and obstacle courses
• arcade and interactive games
• mechanical rides and large attractions
• casino-style games and themed experiences
• photo booths and interactive activities
• costumed characters, stilt walkers, jugglers, and specialty performers
• concessions, games, and event rentals that complete the experience.
These elements allow event organizers to create environments where guests can play, interact, and share memorable moments together.

A Growing Operation
As the company continued to expand, so did its operations. What once operated from modest storage spaces eventually required a dedicated facility to support the growing inventory of attractions and event equipment.
In 2018, Awesome Entertainment moved into a 32,000+ square-foot warehouse and operations center, providing the space needed to support the company’s growing event production capabilities.
The facility allows the team to maintain and prepare a wide range of equipment used for events, from inflatable attractions and games to décor and production elements.
A Team That Brings Events to Life
Behind every event is a team of people who help make the experience possible.
Over the years, Awesome Entertainment has grown into a collaborative effort involving event planners, technicians, performers, and support staff who work together to bring each event to life. During peak seasons the company works with hundreds of team members and entertainers, many of whom have been part of the organization for 20+ years.
The company’s leadership has also grown over time. Curtis Lovell II continues to guide the vision of Awesome Entertainment alongside his husband, Thor, who is originally from Iceland. Together they share a passion for creating memorable experiences and building a culture where creativity, teamwork, and a sense of fun are at the heart of everything the company does.
Each event requires careful coordination, creativity, and attention to detail. From planning logistics to operating attractions and entertaining guests, the team works together to ensure that every event runs smoothly and that guests leave with lasting memories.

Over the past three decades, Awesome Entertainment has helped produce thousands of events each year, ranging from small private celebrations to large community festivals and corporate gatherings.
Along the way, the company has earned industry recognition and awards for customer care and team leadership, reflecting the dedication of the people who help bring events to life.
