PLANNING PREPARATIONS
Before calling in or starting a quote, it is best to have the following info:
Date, Event Hours, Event Address, Number of Guests, Purpose/Theme Of The Party or Event, General Set Up Area.
Have a general idea of which attractions, services or items you'd like. An AFE rep can guide you through a variety of options.
Keep a date in mind, but don’t narrow yourself down to just one day. Be prepared for items not being available on certain dates.
It's best to plan as far in advance as possible.
LOCATION DETAILS
Knowing about your chosen venue can help make sure the equipment or services you order will be the most successful for your event.
Here are the details we will need to know about your venue:
Will the event take place inside or outside?
How accessible is the venue? Are there any time restrictions for delivery or set up, or any deadlines for removing the items?
Where is the electric access? Where is the water access?
Are there any height limits such as ceilings, trees, power lines or other structures?
Are there space limits that will keep my items or entertainment services from working well in this area?
Are there any obstructions, such as poles, trees, holes or lumps?
What type of surface does my rental equipment require?
If it's an indoor event, will my items fit through the doors? Will they fit in the elevator?
How will the items be secured for safety and operations? Can they be staked, sandbagged or held fast with large concrete blocks?

POWER REQUIREMENTS
Power is usually an important aspect of any event. Please review these helpful tips to avoid common issues.
The set up location must be within 50 feet of the electrical outlet you're using.
Generators are not included in your order, unless they are listed on your invoice!
A 10- or 12-gauge extension cord can be used, as long as it is no more than 50 feet from the outlet. For concession machines, the distance can only be 15 feet. If farther away, the item may not function properly, and using it may trip circuit breakers.
Plug in only 1 item per dedicated 20 AMP outlet. Do not use GFCI outlets.
If you need more than
3 outlets, we recommend using a generator.
For mechanical rides, including Bull Rides, Meltdown and Surf Rides,
it’s best to use at least a 9000 watt generator for each ride.
No GFCI outlets for these rides.
If you don't have access to electricity within 50 feet of the set up location, we recommend renting a generator from us.

ENTERTAINMENT REQUIREMENTS
Planning for entertainers requires attention to space, safety and comfort to help deliver the best possible performances.
Below are key considerations for a variety of entertainers, including fire performers, jugglers, stilt walkers, face painters and more.
Make sure you check our Logistics section under the entertainer's description for general set up needs.
In addition, think about the following:
Does my performer need tables and chairs?
It's an outdoor event, so will there be shade?
Do I need to provide a changing room?
What are the required ceiling heights?
Does my performer need power?
Parking?
