Updated: Mar 3, 2020

With Spring just around the corner, now is the time to start planning an awesome outdoor carnival. Here are Awesome Family Entertainment’s Top 10 games, entertainment, and activities for any spring carnival.

To make it easy, we have indicated interest by age next to each item:

lk- little kids, k-kids, t-teens, a-adults, and m-multigenerational

1. Carnival Games (m): Set up a “carnival midway” with games like Pop-A-Balloon, Duck Ponds, High Strikers, Cash Vaults, and Toss Games.

2.) Bounce Houses (lk, k): Bounce houses never go out of style for little kids and kids. Bounces come in a variety of themes, as well as combos such as bounces with slides, bounces with activities, bounces with water slides, and bounces with ball pits.

3.) Photo Selfie Booth (m): Create a self-station with props, backdrops, selfie sticks, and more.

4.) Bumper Cars (k,t, a): Bumper cars are now portable and come on an inflated track for easy setup. Guests can ride in pairs of two or alone and bump, bump away.

5.) Trackless Train Ride (m): Trackless trains are a fun way to transport guests around your event.

6.) Dunk Tanks (m): Dunk Tanks are always popular. Schools can put the principle or have a few “lucky” teachers and other administrators sit in the seat and have students assist them in "taking the plunge".

7.) Characters (lk, k): Character impersonators bring imagination to carnivals. For example, if your carnival has a theme such as action heroes, you can have Characters Impersonators like Spiderman, Captain America, Wonder Woman, etc.

8.) Inflatable Giant Maze (k, t, a): Mazes keep guests entertained and is an activity people can do together. Put a prize at the end of the maze to add an extra element of fun.

9.) Traditional Entertainers (m): Guests of all ages like to interact with Balloon Twisters, Face Painters, Strolling Magicians, and Caricature Artists.

10.) Shows/Action Acts (m): Have action-packed short shows at your carnival such as Fire Eaters, Aerial Acts, and Stilt Walkers.
