IMPORTANT EVENT PLANNING DETAILS
Carefully choose the location of your Chocolate Fountain table:
Pick a location away from air conditioning ducts, swinging doors, dance floors, exterior doors, etc. Be firm if the facility dictates that you set up in a location that could ruin your Chocolate Fountain attraction. For example, being directly under cold air ducts could cool the chocolate, causing it to harden and not flow correctly.
Don’t use the fountain outdoors:
A gentle breeze will splash the falling chocolate and may even cause it to harden. Rain, insects and other outdoor elements could ruin your Chocolate Fountain attraction.
Set up on a sturdy surface and level the machine before operating: Leveling your Chocolate Fountain is a simple and important task that only takes a few minutes. Before chocolate is in the fountain, lay a level across the edge of the fountain’s bowl. Adjust the feet to make the fountain level. Repeat with the level at different sides of the bowl. The more accurate you are, the better the chocolate will flow. A level fountain allows chocolate to flow evenly around the entire fountain.
Always preheat the fountain before adding chocolate:
If the room is cool, the metal bowl and tiers will also be cool, hardening the chocolate and preventing it from flowing properly.
Air trapped in the auger tube will block the flow of chocolate:
If the Chocolate Fountain stops flowing correctly, you may need to add more chocolate. If not, air is probably trapped in the auger tube, making the chocolate flow uneven or causing the curtain to open. Turn off the auger for 10-15 seconds. When chocolate flows into the bowl from the auger tube and you notice air bubbles popping out of the chocolate, turn the fountain back on, and the problem should be solved. If the flow is still uneven, make sure the fountain remains level and is not set up under a cold air vent or draft.
Don’t dip crumbly items or wet items in the fountain:
Wet items will cause the chocolate to seize. Crumbly items contaminate the chocolate.
Don’t leave chocolate in the fountain after you’re finished:
When chocolate cools, it hardens, and turning on the auger with hardened chocolate in the fountain will burn out the motor. Clean the fountain AS SOON as it is no longer in use.
Never leave a fountain unattended with household pets:
Your chocolate goodies are meant for your human party guests and may not be safe for your pets to consume.
